ArtiKids Area: Step right up, Step right up, kids of all ages come see ArtiGras’s Circus and experience the sites and colors of the Big Top in the ArtiKids area! At the entrance to the ArtiKids area, you will walk into a three-ring circus where children can express their creativity. Kids Need More Art will be onsite leading creations in the theme of the circus, while The Lighthouse Arts Center, Town of Jupiter Recreation, So Crafty, Norton Museum of Art, Macaroni Kid, and Resource Depot will offer circus themed art projects and activities. One example of our many attractions will be Resource Depot’s Reuse making station and death defying mini catapult. Other highlights include live science demos and crafts put on by the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium about the Center Of Gravity so participants can finally understand what it takes to become a tight rope walker. Also Uptown Art will offer painting kits, Entertainment By Hearts will be have face painting and glitter tattoos, Jupiter Bounce will have circus games to play and there will be an oversized sand box area with real beach sand donated by Carmalengo, Inc.
Artist Demonstration Stage: Various participating artists from around the country will demonstrate their art technique. Attendees are invited to watch and ask questions of our resident experts. Look for schedule of artists in the festival program.
Charitable Affiliations: Schools and local charities benefit from ArtiGras. The 2017 beneficiaries include the Kiwanis Club of Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens, Resource Depot, Quantum House, Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida, and approximately 60 local and private schools.
Fine Arts Area: Showcases the talents of 300 national, regional and local fine artists. The show is noted for strong art sales and is rated “one of the top 50 shows in the nation” by Sunshine Artist Magazine. All artists are required to be present during the show. This allows the guests to meet and get to know the artists. Artists compete for more than $17,000 in awards in the areas of ceramics, digital art, drawing/graphics/print making, emerging artists, fiber, glass, jewelry, metal, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture and wood.
Pets Policy: No dogs or pets are allowed inside the gated festival; however, The Fur Seasons Resort for Pets will be providing a Doggie Day Care center where patrons can leave their dog with a trained professional while they enjoy the food and art of ArtiGras. The service is free, but a donation to the Big Dog Ranch Rescue is appreciated.
Garden Art Area: Offers fine handmade craft items created with the backyard garden in mind. Patrons will find unique items to useful homes and garden accessories. The selection is varied including wood, glass, sculptures, fountains and furnishings.
Emerging Artists: This area of the festival will feature 10 fabulous artists from the Palm Beach area who are exhibiting in an outdoor art festival for the first time. These artists have been through a vigorous training program with ArtiGras event staff and other artist experts over the past six months. Patrons will be able to enjoy and purchase art that has been created in their “own backyard.”
Music at the Main Stage: Varied musical entertainment will be featured throughout the day including jazz, R&B, and island music. The stage will be located near the Food Court location at University and Central Blvd. View Entertainment Schedule.
Tiny Treasures: Children ages 3 – 13 are invited to enter this exclusive “kids only” gallery where they can purchase artwork donated by the exhibiting artists. Children and their families can then visit and meet the artists on site. It is a perfect introduction to the arts for these future art patrons. All proceeds directly benefit the Quantum House.
Youth Art Competition: Local public and private schools, grades K-12, are invited to create art works and compete for money for their school’s art department. Approximately one hundred finalists in this countywide competition will be on display at ArtiGras. The awards ceremony will take place on Saturday afternoon and the finalists will be on display the entire weekend. The talent of these young people will amaze you!
