ArtiGras Festivities Overview

Artist Demonstration Stage Learn how artists apply their outstanding skills to create art in various media throughout the festival. Demonstrations are on the hour every day with ArtiGras artists from around the country.

ArtiKids Area Children of all ages will have the opportunity to head under the sea at ArtiGras in the ArtiKids area which this year has an ocean theme. Kids can build sea sculptures from recycled materials courtesy of Resource Depot or make under the ocean creatures in the Macaroni Kid tent. After getting their face painted, children can stroll over to the South Florida Science Center's booth to go through a shark tooth lab and then create coffee filter jellyfish and fruit loop fish art. Next, your child can create part of a coral reef in the Lighthouse Center for the Arts' coral reef project, while they make shark tooth necklaces courtesy of Loggerhead Marinelife Center. Kids Need More Art will have a craft area too where your budding artist can make fish hats, a mermaid photo stand or a gyotaku fish print. If stamping is more their speed, the Armory Art Center has an activity where your child can stamp out a underwater scene from the deep. Other participating organizations in the ArtiKids area include i9 Sports, Professor Clark the Science Shark, Hometown Bridges, Rock 'N Faces, and Small Fish, Big Fish.

Youth Art Competition Gallery Enjoy the amazing talents of local young artists from area schools grades K-12. Over 200 pieces were submitted to the contest and will be on display all weekend. Winners will be announced live on the Main Stage on February 15th. Winning schools receive prize money to purchase art supplies and winning students have their artwork framed courtesy of FanAddict Frames.

Tiny Treasures Children's Art Boutique Kids will love the chance to purchase their very own fine art donated by exhibiting artists. No adults allowed! Visit this children's-only tent inside the ArtiKids area. Proceeds benefit the Quantum House.

Comfort Zone - Re-Energize in the shade of the relaxing Comfort Zone sponsored by Florida Power & Light.

Art Pick Up No need to carry those large purchases through the crowds back to your car! Let us meet you at the Art Pick Up gate where it will be personally loaded into your car for you. For more information, ask the artist from whom you purchased your artwork.
