Molly Leach

Molly Leach, (also known as Molly’s Artistry) is an abstract fluid artist based in South Florida. She is originally from coastal South Carolina and currently draws much of her inspiration from the ocean and nature. She enjoys translating the movement, energy, and color of nature into her abstract fluid artwork.

Working primarily on canvas, Molly uses water-based paints, pigments, and pastes, and manipulates them with palette knives, compressed air, and other tools to create motion filled compositions. Color and fluid motion are central to her art practice. She uses bright and unique color combinations to draw the viewer in and flowing motion to draw attention to the details along the canvas.

With a background in the sciences, Molly approaches her studio process with both curiosity and precision. She explores how different mediums, paint brands, and consistencies interact and uses the principles of chemistry and physics to create the intricate cells and lacing that are characteristic of her work. While each painting is inherently one-of-a-kind and can never be exactly replicated, years of intentional experimentation have allowed her to develop more reproducible and predictable effects within the fluid nature of paint.

In addition to her studio practice, Molly enjoys sharing her techniques and creative process through her social media, where she has built a substantial international audience of abstract fluid art enthusiasts and collectors, reaching over two million people worldwide. Molly also enjoys teaching and has co-founded an online art course platform to help others achieve their creative and artistic potential.
